All international students are required by law to hold a Student's Pass (STP) for the duration of their study in Singapore. The staff of SOT will assist you in the application process.

Please note that all international applicants are NOT ALLOWED to work in Singapore during their course of study here. As international students, you are strictly not allowed to engage in any form of employment, whether paid or unpaid, or in any business, profession or occupation in Singapore during the validity of your Student's Pass, unless you have the consent in writing of the Controller of Immigration. Violators will be prosecuted by law.

Applicants are reminded not to submit any forged supporting document/s with their STP applications, in their bid to fulfill STP requirements. Under the Immigration Act, the penalty for an applicant/person to make a false statement, representation or declaration, to obtain or attempt to obtain an entry or re-entry permit, pass or certificate for himself/herself or for any other person is a fine not exceeding $4000 or an imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or both.

Notes for International Students

Application of Student's Pass

Please read carefully the following procedure for the application of a Student's Pass:

1 The School will first have to register you with Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) to apply for a Student's Pass. We will be able to do this only when we have received your application to study at City Harvest Bible Training Center. Therefore, it is important that you sign up online as soon as possible (http://sot.chc.org.sg/apply_online.php) and notify your two referees to expedite in mailing us the recommendation forms.
2

To register accurately with the ICA, we need the following information to be accurately reflected on your application.

* Full name as reflected in your passport/travel document
* Nationality
* Date of birth
* Gender
* Email address
3 The “Local Sponsor” will process a “Banker’s Guarantee” for you as part of the Application for Student’s Pass; you will not be required to make this payment deposit. Due to changes in Immigration regulations, the School is only allowed to act as Local Sponsor for Applications submitted before 14th December 2009
4 The school will e-mail you the acknowledgement slip, on which is information you need to apply for a Student's Pass at https://solarplus.ica.gov.sg/solarplus-ica/checkStudentLogin.do.
5 You will receive an email from the School to guide you along as you fill up the Online Student’s Pass Application Forms. Please email me (Ms Dorcas Xu at dorcasxu@chc.org.sg) if you encounter any questions.
6 Please note that the Student's Pass Application process takes at least four weeks. Therefore, you are encouraged to be prompt and thorough in submitting all the information/documents required online to prevent any delay in obtaining your Student's Pass.
7 Submitting this Student's Pass information does not imply that you are already accepted by School of Theology. You will still need to be interviewed by the Dean and you will be informed of the outcome of your interview.
8 If you are accepted by SOT, we will inform you when the ICA replies the school on the outcome of your application after one month. If you are not accepted by SOT, we will withdraw your application with ICA.
9 At this point during your application of a Student's Pass, you are not required to make any payment.

Things to Note When Filling Up Your Online Student’s Pass Application Forms:

For Chinese speaking students, you may refer to the translated “Student’s Pass Application Form - Page 1 / 2 / 3 for assistance in your online application.
