THEO-101 Christian Faith & Ministry Fundamental theological beliefs, Christian practises, and a lifestyle essential for spiritual formation and ministry. Throughout, beliefs, practises, and lifestyles are presented from a Pentecostal perspective. 3
THEO-111 Introduction to Theology I An introductory study of the essential tenets and fundamental values that equip and empower students to grasp essential doctrines, seek integrity in personal behavior, and respond to the great commission to reach the world. 3
THEO-112 Introduction to Theology II An introductory study of the essential tenets and fundamental values that equip and empower students to grasp essential doctrines, seek integrity in personal behavior, and respond to the great commission to reach the world.

Theology I focuses on the Scriptures as revelation, the Doctrine of God, Doctrine of Sin, and Doctrine of Jesus Christ. Theology II will focus on the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit, Doctrine of the Church, and Doctrine of Last Things.

THEO-201 Home Cell Group Leadership This course focuses on the structure, development, and practises of effective home cell group ministry within the context of the local church. The course includes the evangelistic dimensions of the pastoral ministry, such as preaching, counselling, teaching, conducting visitations, and training the laity for outreach. 3
THEO-202 Homiletics This course is designed to instruct students in the proper interpretation and presentation of biblical material through preaching. Basic communication skills and sound principles of the hermeneutics of Scripture are addressed, and attention is given to the biblical perspective of preaching as well as the principles of sermon construction and sermon delivery. 3
THEO-211 Gifts of the Holy Spirit A study of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the role and practice of the gifts in life and ministry. 2
THEO-212 Spiritual Warfare This course aims to equip students with a clear understanding of the nature of spiritual warfare, who Satan is, how he works, and how individuals and churches can effectively fight demonic powers.

Historical realities, theological foundations, and reflections on contemporary issues relating to spiritual warfare are explored. The course approaches the subject of spiritual warfare from four main trajectories: biblical and historical foundations, theological interpretations, contemporary contextual trends and missional responses and strategies. The course concludes by providing students an opportunity to have practical, hands-on training in inner healing and deliverance ministry.

THEO-221 Introduction to Old Testament An introductory study of the books of the Old Testament with a focus on purpose, major themes, selected characters and events, and the theological contribution of each book informed by historical, social and cultural contexts. There will be an emphasis on understanding the hermeneutical principles to interpret the biblical text with an eye to inspire the student to integrate the lessons of Scripture into their own lives and ministry. 3
THEO-222 Introduction to the New Testament A general introduction to the historical/social/cultural context, purpose, content, and theology of each New Testament book. Theological themes will be highlighted.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
• Identify the major purpose of each of the New Testament books.
• Recognize genres, historical and cultural contexts, major themes, and theological contributions.
• Utilize basic hermeneutical principles to interpret the biblical text with an eye to inspire the student to integrate the lessons of Scripture into their own life and ministry.

THEO-301 Sermon on the Mount The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), the longest of Jesus’ teachings, offers a vivid description of the radical nature of Christian discipleship. Jesus contrasts what he expects of his followers who have experienced the “good news of the Kingdom” with the behaviour of “the world.” 3
THEO-311 The Cultural Mandate (The Gospel & Culture) The course aims to equip students to usher in the character and presence of God in a broken-down, fallen world, without losing their personal conviction and consecration. Students will learn how to be relevant and sensitive to our contemporary culture, while advancing the kingdom of God in it. The course covers the theology and important concepts of the Cultural Mandate, as well as its practical application in life and ministry. 3
THEO-321 Romans A study surveying the great truths found in Paul’s letter to the Romans. Particular emphasis is given to the theological themes of sin, the law, righteousness and wrath of God, the Holy Spirit, justification by faith, sanctification, glorification, election, and living sacrifice. Attention will be given to these themes as they appear in the first eight chapters with an application to Christian faith and practice. 3
THEO-331 Pentecostalism and the Church in Asia From its origins in the Azusa St. Revival in Los Angeles in 1906, the Pentecostal movement has exploded into a global phenomenon comprising 600 million or 27% of the world’s Christians.
This course begins with an overview of the Day of Pentecost in Acts and then explores the historical and theological precedents of early Pentecostalism. The diverse global expressions of the Pentecostal movement will be presented with a focus on Pentecostalism in Southeast Asia. The course concludes with a glance at the everchanging paradigms, challenges and opportunities facing Pentecostals around the globe.
Context and time restrictions will determine selection of regional emphasis and corresponding issues.

DPRM-340 Ministry Practicum The purpose of ministry practicum is to provide students with practical experiences in a broad range of roles performed in ministry. Trainees gain competence in essential areas of local church ministry.
