SOT offers a refund of the course and applicable related fees paid (with the exception of the registration fee and course material fees), in the event that the student withdraws from the course by giving written notice under the following circumstances:
· Non-commencement of the course by the school without any reason, on commencement date;
· Non-completion of the course by the school without any reason, by completion date;
· Termination of the course by the school without any reason, prior to completion date;
· The school or the student is unable to carry on with the course for reasons beyond the control of either (due to Force Majeure).
SOT offers such refund as soon as practicable after receiving the written notice, the “Student Withdrawal Form” (which serves as the official written notice to SOT), by the student. Refund may also be made in the event that the student withdraws for reasons other than the above. In such a case, refund, subject to there being no double claim, is offered within 30 days upon the receipt of the “Student Withdrawal Form”. The student should request for a copy of this form from the Dean of Students.
However, if the student is dismissed (due to severe disciplinary matters listed below), no refunds will be given. Should the dismissed student be on the Instalment Payment scheme, he/she is still required to render all payment(s) due to SOT up to the date of dismissal.
Severe Disciplinary Listing
(i) Absence without official reasons despite warnings given;
(ii) Unchanged behaviour after disciplinary action has been taken;
(iii) An offender of the Singapore Law;
(iv) Misbehaviour of frequency and seriousness that pose a threat to the health, safety and security of others.
The school reserves the right to require the withdrawal of a student at any time if in the judgment of the Dean of Students, such action is deemed necessary to safeguard SOT’s ideals of scholarship or the spiritual and moral atmosphere of it as a Christian school.
The amount of refund (with the exception of registration fee and course material fees) is as follows:

The amount of refund of course fees is subject to the student making lump sum payment of the entire course fees. Should the student pay by monthly instalment plan, and his/her study term is terminated within the first week of any month, course fees for that particular month remains payable and will not be refunded. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
In the event where no prior ”Student Withdrawal Form” is given by the student and he/she does not attend the course as scheduled within 7 days, all monies paid will not be refunded.
