Bachelor of Theology

The Bachelor of Theology (BTh) is designed to prepare graduates for ministry and leadership in church and community settings. The course integrates a foundation in Christian Studies with broad theoretical and practical knowledge in theology and biblical studies. This includes exploring Christian tradition historically and within faith traditions, engaging with primary texts (Old and New Testaments), and reflecting on how those texts have been interpreted over the years. Practical assessments and work-integrated learning will help to develop professional skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Graduates will have a broad and coherent body of knowledge, with depth in key principles and concepts, supporting independent lifelong learning. They will possess cognitive skills to critically analyse, consolidate, and synthesise knowledge; along with technical and creative skills for problem-solving with intellectual independence. Graduates will apply their knowledge and skills with initiative and judgement in diverse contexts, demonstrating responsibility, accountability, collaboration with others.

The Bachelor of Theology is only open to City Harvest School of Theology alumni with an Associate Degree in Ministry.

*Registration closes on 6 October 2024
